COVID 19: Hamlets Training Centre’s plan to combat coronavirus while learning continues

15 March 2020

The management of Hamlets Training Centre has been carefully monitoring the outbreaks of the coronavirus in the UK and across the globe. In a matter of weeks, coronavirus (COVID-19) has changed how students are educated around the world. Those changes give us a glimpse at how learning could change for the better – and the worse – in the long term.

We will follow the guidelines by the UK government, NHS UK and our awarding bodies as we take health and safety of students and staff very seriously.

We will continue to issue any further advice and guidance as it becomes available, so we encourage everyone to read the government guidelines regularly. More detailed novel coronavirus information from Public Health England is also available here.

We want to assure the students and staff that the risk of the virus having passed on to other people at the centre  is low and our management team is closely monitoring the advice of  Public Health England (PHE) and following government guidelines in terms of appropriate next steps.

  • The best defence to prevent the spread of coronavirus continues to be good hand hygiene practices
  • Please stay at home for 7 days if you have either a high temperature or a new continuous cough

Hamlets Training Centre responds to it going forward as we continue to monitor the coronavirus COVID-19, following its emergence in December 2019 in Wuhan, we have increased our online and distance learning on this course of action and due to the popular demands. So, if you think you or the people that you live with have a symptom of coronavirus then we advise you to self-isolate or quarantine by your own initiative. However,  if you are worrying about your health and safety and simultaneously if your training is essential due to the immigration or legal requirement  then the best option for you is to choose our distance learning or online programme as we use interactive  teaching and learning activities through modern technology to ensure you gain more to achieve your qualification such English Language test for immigration, Life in the UK Test for citizenship, Food Safety and other statuary training.
